Trikes are becoming more popular, partly due to aging of the motorcyling base, but also because they're easier to ride for those concerned about seat height, weight and balance with a passenger etc. You can enjoy the ride more, rather than worry how you're going to keep this thing up at the next stop sign!
There are also some very beautiful and well engineered machines coming out of people like Lehman Trikes - mainly based around Gold Wing and Harley donor bikes.

Specials are Cool!
You can also still insure home-built trikes - so your VW Bug-engined special from the 60's could still hit the road!.............don't forget the bandana.

The most Popular Carriers of Trike Insurance at this time seem to be
Progressive, Foremost & ANPAC.

As one of the posters said on this forum - its usually well worth while pricing up your insurance with different carriers each year.

This is especially so with niche vehicles like Trike's where Underwritings opinion about the risk can change from company to company each season!

Although its never been my idea of motorcycling - I've always admired the ingenuity, engineering (or lack of it), and sheer strange fun in many of the outrageous trikes I've seen at place like Daytona. Vintage Trike Tip?
With Trikes dating back to the 60's you may be able to make a case that yours is classic, or vintage. In this case one of the specialists could consider it. You would have a mileage limit - but we're not talking of  cross country trips are we?Check out our Vintage & Classic Section. It could well save you money.

HACKS as well !
All the above applies to Hacks (sidecars) as well - although the mainstream carriers are more likely to consider these (as long as it hasn't got a HEMI engine in it!)
