Illegal & Fraudulent Motorcycle Insurance Matters. Stealing motorcycle for insurance money.

Don't get me wrong, this page is of things NOT TO DO.

At the very least, any of these actions will disqualify a claim you may be in the process of making. It could also involve a criminal prosecution for fraud. It could also make it very difficult to get insurance, at any price, in the future.

Making a false personal details statement on the application -(it slipped my mind won't fly).
Making a false or incomplete statement about your bike. (The turbo is just for show - it doesn't work).
Putting damaged parts on your bike to make it look like it's had a wreck

But most importantly:
Stealng motorcycle for insurance (or being aware or involved in it) in order to claim the insurance payout is a surprisingly common event. This is high on a checklist when a stolen motorcycle claim is submitted. I don't need to say more, but read the scenario below.

Before you get the idea that I'm some stuffy old man hired by the insurers to scare the bejeezers out of you - I'm just the opposite..........stupid errors like these make it too easy for an insurance company to not only deny a claim but prosecute you too!

.....,,,, I've lost my job and my girlfiend is pregnant, The payments on my 6 month old bike were easy when I had a job, but now they're impossible. Its winter and I cannot sell it….I wonder, what if it happened to get stolen?........

Forget it! In fact this is such a common practice that not only are insurance companies very good at detecting it - but it's a very common phrase used on internet search engines! Perhaps the overtime's a good idea after all.

If you have a story of 'what went badly wrong' with your or a friend's claim - please send it in to us and I will show a few to warn of the dangers......
